Fun fact: Do you know that I forget the format that I use to write my newsletter and that I have to check the post before writing a new one? I’m confirming that I don’t remember and that I do check past editions.
Recap of the past two weeks:
It’s not up to two weeks but let’s talk. So, you know that the last time I dropped an edition, it was four days past the drop date so I decided to start early with this edition and I see it coming up when it is supposed to. There is also power for today because I had already scheduled that I wanted to write this edition this week so I feel God is coming through for me because this cannot be just ordinary.
Now really into the recap. Let’s discuss AFCON first. Anyone who watched the finals already gets that feeling. So AFCON is the African Cup of Nations. It’s a football competition amongst African countries. I am Nigerian, of course, my country is included in the game. I watched the games from the group stage to the finals, especially the Nigerian matches. This is not because I supported them but because it was my country and they had been playing well until the finals. I just liked the feel it gave as well as the trolls on X. Nigerian lost to Ivory Coast(Cote d’Ivoire) in the finals and it made me heartbroken. But we move.
Next is the graphic design issue. I hate graphic design. I have said this so much. Someone tried to talk me into learning it again after trying it for a year plus and the rest can be found in this week’s episode of the podcast. Read further to listen from the link below.
Next is dating back to childhood. I left the house on Tuesday to go someplace and I saw a lot of senior secondary school students. I started to recount my days in secondary school and it was dumbfounding, it startled me what I discovered. I discovered that the people in senior secondary school three now are people who were in primary four when I was in Junior Secondary School three. How fast time flies yeah, exactly.
Podcast:
Let’s Talk Pod had two exciting episodes that were published.
Episodes 21 and 22 were random talks and just spilling whatever concerns I had regarding my life in general. Episode 21 mostly focused on manipulating the identity oneself to become whatever you want to be. The episode discussed how you can pretend to be what you are not until you eventually become that. The shortest episode in a long time but packed with so many gems on the “Fake it till you make it” concept. Quite satisfying to both record and listen.
Episode 22 and I lost my voice again but it discusses more on the graphic design ordeal thing and how I rejected a piece of advice on that, I do not want to spill all the tea so just go listen to it. I also noticed that noise makes me zone out. I rather sleep than do anything else when there is a lot of noise. I get disorganized. The episode has glitches denoting that fact. Enough of this, the link is below.
The Issue of this Edition:
What is this Heat?
I did speak on premeditation right, I guess on the last two weeks’ episode of the podcast. What business does this have to do with the issue you might ask. I’ll tell you. Last year, around November ish, I started feeling one kind of strong hot weather and I just knew that the heat of this year would be severe. Don’t ask me how I know, I just know. As I speak to you guys, I’m sweating so much that the sweat is going into my eyes and dropping-trickling from every part of my body.
Why this is concerning is because I am one who rarely sweat. It’s difficult to catch me sweating but here I am, like someone who is bathing. Now the question is, Is it global warming or are we just roasting? Because I do not understand it anymore. I can’t sleep well at night. In addition to weird and awkward nightmares, I sweat which is so uncomfortable, especially with the power situation in Nigeria.
Sometimes I think we have offended God all over the world. Because why am I suffering like this? As one who loves to stay indoors, I’m being drenched in my pool of sweat. The economic problem isn’t even helping matters that’s a story for another day. I need to have my bath. I’ll see you guys in the next two weeks. You girl has seen something.
With Love,
Tabss.
